Much of Hocking County and Logan offer potential employers Enterprise Zone status and a Community Investment Area. Couple the city of Logan’s Revolving Loan Fund with a private Community Improvement Corporation, and businesses cannot pass up a chance to learn more about this area.

The City of Logan and most of Hocking County are located in an Enterprise Zone. Tax abatements are negotiable up to 100% for 10 years.

Hocking County is included in a Foreign Trade Zone that also includes Rickenbacker Airport (freight), just 40 miles away by major highway.

Hocking County is a CRA Community Reinvestment Area (CRA) offering local and state tax incentives for businesses that expand or locate in Ohio. Local guidelines regulate the type of business and investment eligible for incentives.

HCCIC Revolving Loan Fund

The Hocking County Community Improvement Corporation Revolving Loan Fund is available to any start up or existing business located within the boundaries of Hocking County. Funds can be used for:

  • Working Capital
  • Purchase of Real Estate
  • Purchase or Repair of Equipment
  • Leasehold Improvements
  • Furniture and Fixtures
  • Purchase of Inventory and Supplies
  • Insurance Premiums
  • Fees and Licenses
  • Renovations with NO Construction Activity

RLF Information:

  • The Fund will lend a maximum of 95% of the project
  • Low Fix Rates: 1/2% below prime
  • Business plan, DUNS Number and Financials Required
  • Maximum amount of loan is $25,000 and 1 FTE job must be created for each $25,000 loaned
  • Your business must employ 50 or fewer employees and project less that $1 million in annual gross receipts
  • At least 51% of your business is owned by U.S. Citizens or Legal Residents of U.S.
